Newby previously worked as a program officer for the foreign policy team at the Charles Koch Foundation, a project manager and policy analyst for the foreign policy team at the Charles Koch Institute, and a legislative researcher and writer for the Cato Institute. She has a Masters in International Relations from the University of Chicago and a Bachelors in Political Science and History from Emory University.
