Did Trump fuel the current conflict between Iran and Israel during his first term?

As the hours pass, Donald Trump appears to be growing more receptive to the idea of attacking Iranian nuclear facilities. Speaking to reporters in Washington, he said that his patience with the Iranian regime had run out. He called their leaders ‘bullies’. He also said that it was “very late to be talking”. American intervention in Iran would mark a significant turning point in Donald Trump’s second presidency. It could embroil the US in the kind of war that Trump promised he would never risk in the Middle East. So is it all just bluster to force Iran’s hand at the negotiating table?
