Will Donald Trump watch as his Gaza cease-fire crashes and burns?

Today Eli Sharabi and several other hostages recently released from Hamas captivity will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House. Their visit comes at a particularly tense time as negotiations between Israel and Hamas are at risk of collapse. The previous deal, which paused the fighting for six weeks, was a diplomatic act that Trump waded into even before he officially entered the Oval Office for a second term. So why does it seem that Trump is no longer committed to sustaining the very ceasefire in Gaza he helped broker nearly two months earlier?
