South Korea martial law attempt meets harsh U.S. criticism

Jennifer Kavanagh, director of military analysis at Defense Priorities, said that it was troubling that South Korean forces went to the National Assembly without any warning to U.S. Forces Korea. “Given the supposedly close coordination and combined commands, there should have been notification,” she said.
