Map shows possible targets as Trump weighs land strikes in Venezuela
Jennifer Kavanagh, director of military analysis at Defense Priorities, told Newsweek that as long as the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group was in the region, there was a risk of kinetic activity.
“Venezuela’s air defenses are not spectacular, so I don’t think there’s a lot of concern that they would be able to intercept U.S. missiles or pose a threat to U.S. aircraft,” Kavanagh said.
